Hello, I'm James!

I'm a director / designer / animator type person currently working freelance in London.
Mutanthands is my super villain name, although I'm sure you'll be relieved to know my hands are perfectly normal.
After working in a post production house in Leeds for a few years, I decided to pack my bags and head south after hearing tales of the streets being paved with gold. Once I had arrived, I made a new home with the lovely people at Mainframe and good times were had by all. A couple of years went by and I decided it was time to try make a go of things myself, so with a tear in our eye, but smiles on our faces we said "Cheerio" to eachother and went on our merry ways.
In my career so far I've been very lucky to work along side some really lovely people producing work for MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, Sony, Nike, BBC, to name but a few.
I also like to keep myself busy by regularly appearing in publications such as Computer Arts & Computer Arts Projects, as well as contributing to other publications such as Semi-Permanant, Zupi, Pictoplasma, Psst! Pass It On.
Sometimes people are crazy enough to let me loose on the public and invite me to talk at events, such as the kind people at BD4D. Lastly but by no means least(ly), I'm also a contributer to websites such as Motionographer.

Available to work both on and off site.
