Merry Christmas
Sunday, December 20th, 2009All I wanted to say:
Dear all my friends, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
And dear spam posters, fxxk off bastards! Get your hideous Viagra links off my place, James won’t need that!
Phewww…. It took me an hour to mown the lawn which was nothing else but 12,000 pieces of spam in our blog (with 20,000 pieces to be cleared). I’m tired. And I gave up. Thank God that our dear friend Emie sent me an email suggesting what to do. And I did! It works amazingly! :D Thanks Emie.
So it’s almost 2010. Here’s my fancy To-Do list in the new year:
1, be able to tread water in the deep end.
2, be able to use Cinema4D.
3, get a pay rise.
4, lose 5kg weight.
5, get out of England for a month.
6, get a super fancy designer bag like every other materialistic girl.
And the realistic To-Do list,
1, be able to swim properly, and keep going to swim at least twice a week,
2, stay motivated, actually, be more motivated,
3, not to put on weight,
4, go to Iceland, or simply just run away from a weekend or so…
5, read a book.
Anyway, I wish everyone a happy new year :)
a little bit update…
Thursday, October 15th, 2009Sorry not been updating for ages. Please bear the spam in the comment section. It’s a lot of effort to mow the lawn regularly, cause seems like both of us have been ridiculously busy! So here’s a little update: James started to work for StudioAKA whilst I started a job in PHM the company. Yay… recession time and still freaking busy!
So now I’m a designer working with the whole Adobe suite, churning out some work for people which has already been branded, pitching on my own (which is great…), waiting for things to be signed off…..and storyboards, more storyboards, amends, amends, more amends, sign off, amends (yea it happens), etc… That is what they call ‘in-house’ design, which could be boring or challenging.
Anyway, I call myself a visualiser rather a designer. I visualise whatever’s in your mind. I translate your idea into pictures, movies, and more. I illustrate, I design, I animate, I programme… And that’s exactly why I like what I am doing. I feel like myself being more professional, like a 5-in-1 design machine, or a one-person-company. They always came up with something completely new. But I let people explore my ability in design which keeps me excited. ;)
See No Evil August 6th

Next See No Evil 6th August from 7pm Bodhi
This time we will bring none other than Simon Robson
(http://www.knife-party.net) from Nexus (http://www.nexusproductions.com/).
He will be coming down to talk about his work and his next exciting project
“Coalition of The Willing”.
About Simon Robson:
Simon is best known for his direction of issue film, or issue animation if you
will. Too many evenings spent listening to the declarations of his pal, Barry
McNamara, lead to the conception of multi-award winning short film, ‘What Barry
Says’. The film is a response to the US invasion of Iraq and elucidates
McNamara’s outspoken views on what he calls ‘War Corporatism’. Quickly
championed by the motion community, conspiracy nuts and the worldwide public
alike, it blazed a trail across the world wide web and the film festival circuit
in 2004 and 2005. Simon has, as yet avoided assassination despite receiving
direct threats from the marine corps.
2006, a new year a new issue film, this time in the shape of a feature
documentary entitled ‘Taking Liberties’ conceived and directed by Chris Atkins.
Chris invited Simon to direct animation for his film, which addresses the
decline of Civil Liberties in the UK since 1997. Taking Liberties showed in
theatres across the UK in the Summer of 2007 and went on to be nominated for a
BAFTA in 2008.
When not trying to put the world to rights, Simon finds time to direct
commercial projects with Nexus Productions. Simon’s commercial work includes
graphic idents for Nike and Seeds of Change as well as a 60 second promotional
spot for Adidas featuring the world’s best footballers. Most recently he has
directed commercials for Save The Children, The Observer and The Guardian.
Simon is currently developing his new project ‘Coalition of The Willing’ with
philosopher and writer Tim Rayner. They are now at the helm of the evolving
project, bringing together artists from around the world to create a film and an
online event that proposes a pro-active response to the climate crises. If you
are a brilliant moving image maker and want to get involved, drop Simon a mail
