Illustration for a tabacco company

Sunday, September 5th, 2010

An illustration requested by IBD company for Camel, with 80% of the content already decided by the client. Again, I was only an Adobe operator representing people’s thoughts and idea, rather than my own. Still, a very good chance to challenge my skill, and level of art awareness. And, the amazing thing is, Louisa, the lady I worked for, turned out on facebook to be a friend of Thiago’s. Haha, small world!

Therefore, definitely worth posting!

Latest work

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

I’m looking through my work folder, trying to find anything worth publishing to the world.

Did this for James’s pitch. But oops, flopped. But it was good to challenge yourself for something new, for example, a different style.

Ford C-MAX. Again, not to client’s favour but I quite like it.

Digital Brush - the Korean magazine

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

This is definitely one of my favourite magazines which have featured me and my work.
It’s a 4-page feature (of me..yea hahahaha).

It’s containing high-quality art work, and what’s more important - it’s non-English and non-Chinese, it’s Korean! Do you know how much I love Korean food and the Korean TV series? Look at the language, the characters, what a piece of art!
It has also motivated me a lot. Wish I had done something new recently. The overwhelming corporate design work is drowning me, but I’m still an enthusiastic creative with very much of inspirational juice running to my head! ARrrrrgh I want to do too much in too little time. Wish I had 48 hours a day….

In keeping with my previous post about the London Underground, I stumbled across this amazing visualization of  the Tokyo Rail network. Pretty amazing to look at from a design point of view!

Computer Arts issue 163

The Design Essentials issue:

Computer Arts
Computer Arts

Love the Future Publishing because I’ve got lots of exposure through their publications, and James as well. But for the very first time I and James both got in the same issue of Computer Arts, quite coinccidentally. And James had even used his wedding photo as the headshot. :D
Ever since we tied the knot I’ve been thinking of doing some AWESOME collabs together, like cozy and dan the very talented couple. But I then reckoned that if our relationship turns out to be a professional team, chemistry may lead to an explosion.. umm.. Because we never reach to a same point of view on every single subject of the creative industry. And I’ve never managed to learn AfterEffect (soon, soon, getting there!). What’s worse, I always think I’m more talented (and vice versa? )
However, we are still young, as well as our marriage.

Anyways, Thanks to Computer Arts issue 163 which means a lot for us. :)
